Home Photos The Music Hubert's Dime Museum About the Site ABOUT VINCE Vince Jeffs is an accomplished guitar player and song writer  residing in St. Augustine, Florida. An avid blues musician, Vince had his first bout with bladder cancer in 2005. In 2008 he was admitted to the Anderson Cancer Clinic in Orlando, Florida for extensive cancer surgery.  In late 2009 Vince was admitted to Flagler hospital via the emergency room where he nearly died with his potassium level reaching 8.7, twice the normal level. Today, Vince wears a bladder catheter and has nephrostomy tubes inserted through his back into both the left and right kidneys. Three bags collect the urine produced by his bladder and kidneys. He currently has an obstruction between his kidneys and bladder and future medical procedures are forthcoming.

HOW YOU CAN HELP To date, Vince has amassed over $63,000 in unpaid hospital and doctor bills for which he has no insurance coverage. In his current condition he is unable to work. Although he owns his condominium outright there are still association fees, utility bills and other essential living expenses. Vince has recently qualified for food stamps and is now receiving some limited medical assistance from social services which covers a very  small part of his medical needs. Vince will once again require cancer surgery outside of St John's County for which there is no coverage. Without these surgical procedures Vince will die.
